The Bible speaks of being a living epistle (example) of the Word of God. In the Course, Jesus tells us to live so as to demonstrate that we are not an ego.

Your mission is very simple. You are asked to live so as to demonstrate that you are not an ego, and I do not choose God’s channels wrongly. (T-4.VI.6:2-4)

This does not mean to behavior modify ourselves and act as if we are what we picture Jesus to be. His loving actions resulted from his emptying his mind of ego thinking and learning to think with the Holy Spirit only.

I have enjoined you to behave as I behaved, but we must respond to the same Mind to do this. This Mind is the Holy Spirit, Whose Will is for God always. He teaches you how to keep me as the model for your thought, and to behave like me as a result. (T-5.II.12:1-3)

Jesus took no care for the world and its stories and became a servant of the Holy Spirit. He participated in the world only as a vessel through which the Holy Spirit could reach those who did not remember they were spirit, who still believed that they were a body, a personality self. He assigned to his body the sole purpose of being a communication tool of the Holy Spirit. Jesus wants to be able to use our bodies for the same purpose.

I have said before that I am in charge of the Atonement. This is only because I completed my part in it as a man, and can now complete it through others. (T-4.VI.6:5-7)

But in order for this to happen, we too must empty our minds of ego thinking and learn to think with the Holy Spirit only.

The ego’s temple thus becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit, where devotion to Him replaces devotion to the ego. In this sense the body does become a temple to God; His Voice abides in it by directing the use to which it is put. (T-8.VII.9:6-7)

The side effect of using the body only for a communication tool for the Holy Spirit is health.

It is the dream in which the body functions perfectly, having no function except communication. (M-28.1:6-7)

On top of the body being in perfect health, another benefit of letting the body be used by the Holy Spirit solely for communication is that we no longer believe in illusions and will therefore not be subject to them.

Yet what makes God’s teachers is their recognition of the proper purpose of the body. As they advance in their profession, they become more and more certain that the body’s function is but to let God’s Voice speak through it to human ears. And these ears will carry to the mind of the hearer messages that are not of this world, and the mind will understand because of their Source. From this understanding will come the recognition, in this new teacher of God, of what the body’s purpose really is; the only use there really is for it. This lesson is enough to let the thought of unity come in, and what is one is recognized as one. The teachers of God appear to share the illusion of separation, but because of what they use the body for, they do not believe in the illusion despite appearances. (M-12.4:1-6)

Sounds good to me.
