There are levels of consciousness.

There are levels of awareness.

There are levels of perception.

As we learn and practice forgiveness, not making it real, we move up levels. Our goal is to reach full awareness and true perception. Our goal is to master forgiveness called true forgiveness. Forgiveness is not perfected in us until the real world. And then God takes the final step.

It is my experience that, in our process, when we are about to breakthrough to a new level of consciousness, awareness or perception the ego may rally out of fear of the truth and throw up some very tempting illusions for us to try and not make real. The ego threw everything and the kitchen sink at the mind, formerly known as Jesus, as he ascended to the final level.

We are only ever tempted to make things real that aren’t. All the ego is ever interested in is that we make our miscreations and our unforgiving thoughts real. Having been accepted as real, they then effectively block our awareness of the truly real. The ego does not care if we judge the unreal as good or bad. It only wants us to judge because the first step in judging is to make real. Who would bother judging what they did not think was real? Jesus did not give in to the temptation to make real what was not. He is our example.

As we climb to the next level of awareness it can be helpful to remember…

The ego exerts MAXIMAL VIGILANCE about what it permits into awareness, and this is not the way a balanced mind holds together. (T-4.V.1:3)

The ego will pull out all the stops if it feels threatened. It will escalate from suspiciousness to viciousness. So when the ego throws the kitchen sink at you, join mightily with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to instruct you on exactly how to use the seeming happenings for forgiveness, not for making it real.

Take this from me and look upon it, judging it for me.
Let me not see it as a sign of sin and death, nor use it for destruction.
Teach me how not to make of it an obstacle to peace, but let You use it for me, to facilitate its coming. (T-19.IV-C.11:8-10)

And for those of you who are “long” “suffering”, who have experienced an onslaught of seeming endless sinks, rest assured that you are moving up major levels of awareness. Hang on. We are all on the verge of a major awakening. Do not believe your physical eyes or ears. Turn to the Holy Spirit for sense, understanding and reason. Breakthrough is near.
