Be not deceived when madness takes a form you think is lovely. What is intent on your destruction is not your friend. (T-23.II.17:10-11)
Can you paint rosy lips upon a skeleton, dress it in loveliness, pet it and pamper it, and make it live? And can you be content with an illusion that you are living? (T-23.II.18:8-9)
There is no life outside of Heaven. Where God created life, there life must be. In any state apart from Heaven life is illusion. (T-23.II.19:1-4)
The real world is here. We just can’t see it. Why can’t we see it? Because we choose to believe that the illusion is real. What is the illusion? The illusion is just the scribblings that we ferociously draw over the real world and then choose to give our faith and belief to. We need to stop scribbling. We need to stop believing the scribblings are real. We need to withdrawal our faith and belief from them. And we need to give up give up our old scribblings.
We, yes we, scribbled virus all over the real world. We did that. And then we chose to believe it. It is a miscreation, an ego projection. Our scribblings are always a reflection of the separation story. In this particular rendition of the separation story, the ego is played by the gov’t. The ego/the gov’t, gains its power from the mind/the people. If the mind/the people withdrawal their consent, the ego/the gov’t is powerless or ceases to exist.
The ego/the gov’t, no matter its altruistic declarations, is always interested only in its own perpetuation. The ego/the gov’t wants power and then more power. The ego, the gov’t promises protection. The ego protection from God, the gov’t protection from whatever idols you have made God. Be it sickness, lack, or violence or any other god you pray to. The ego/the gov’t promises to bring order to chaos, to keep you safe. We know that you cannot bring order to the ego’s madness but you can make a face of innocence to plaster over it. The ego/the gov’t promises to minimize fear. But the ego,/the gov’t want fear because there must be fear for it to remain in power. They pretend to minimize fear while stoking its flames. Can the ego minimize fear as it promised? We made fear. How can the ego, which we made, minimize it? It can pretend to, but it can’t.
At the separation, in our terror of retaliation and abandonment from God, the ego’s coaching about how to minimize fear was to project it outward. Which just resulted in more fear. We projected our guilt outward and then got more guilt. Then the ego coached us to try and manage the world of fear, that we made, by looking for our answer in the world. Seek but do not find. There are no answers in the world. We turned our power over to the great deceiver. And then we followed its advice until we obliterated our remembrance of God.
We can only tell stories of the separation because the separation is the parent of these unforgiving stories. They were born from separation and thoughts leave not their source. They can only make as they were made. So is the great deceiver out to help? Or is the great deceiver only interested in power and self-perpetuation? Who benefits from the fear?
At the level of the mind, we scribbled virus on the real world. Why? Because we still believe the ego. We believe that we are guilty and God is after us. We believe that scaring the s*** out of ourselves is a good idea because it makes the illusion, our safety place, real. If we didn’t believe that, we would have stopped scribbling on the real world. We would have taken our faith and belief and joined it with the Holy Spirit’s reason and would have true perception.
How do we stop scribbling all over the real world which we are doing ferociously every second of the day? It takes enormous effort to keep truth at bay. If you truly want to stop scribbling, retire from the world to seek reality instead. Accept salvation as your only goal and have no other. Be committed to emptying your vessel so the the Holy Spirit might flow through it. No me. Easier said than done. And above all else, turn everything over to the Holy Spirit. Be His faithful servant. He knows exactly what we need to do to stop scribbling.
Do as God’s Voice directs. And if It asks a thing of you which seems impossible, remember Who it is that asks, and who would make denial. (W-186.12:1-2)
Do not listen to the scribbler.
Then consider this; which is more likely to be right? The Voice that speaks for the Creator of all things, Who knows all things exactly as they are, or a distorted image of yourself, confused, bewildered, inconsistent and unsure of everything? Let not its voice direct you. (W-186.12:3-6)
